THC Infused Butter
THC infused Butter is one of the easiest things to make and can be used in a wide variety
of baked goods and meals. Basically, anything that contains butter in the recipe can be
substituted with the THC infused Butter. From brownies and cookies to baked potatoes
and buttered noodles the possibilities can be limitless. I have even been known to slice
open a good piece of meat and do Butterfly Steaks. I will be teaching the double pot
method as I think it will be the most commonly used method and most people have at
least 2 different sized pots in their kitchen.
What you need:
Two Pots (One pot must be able to fit inside the other)
2 Cups (1 lb or 4 sticks) of unsalted Butter
At least a 1⁄4 ounce (7 grams) of Cannabis (More cannabis = Stronger Potency)
I recommend using 14-28 grams of at least mid-grade, but I like my edibles strong.
A Strainer
A container to store your butter when finished like a Mason Jar, Tupperware, or some
kind of Plastic or glass container.
Directions
Step 1: Place the larger pot on a burner and fill it with water halfway.
Step 2: Place the smaller pot inside the larger pot, essentially you are going to use the heat
from the boiling water in the larger pot to heat up the smaller pot.
Step 3: Heat the water in the larger pot on a low temperature.
Step 4: Place your butter into the smaller dry pot and let it melt into a liquid consistency.
Step 5: Once the butter is melted add your decarboxylated cannabis and stir thoroughly.
Step 6: Simmer on a low temperature for at least 1 hour. Stirring up the mixture every 5
minutes to ensure the THC spreads evenly through the butter. I recommend doing it for
at least 2-3 hours but when I have the time to kill, I have been known to devote a 5 hour
shift. There are many who debate this, but it has always been my experience, the longer you cook it the more potent it can become.
Step 7: Carefully remove the smaller pot from the larger one and let the butter cool for 5-
10 minutes.
Step 8: Strain the butter while it is still in liquid form.
Step 9: Place the butter in the refrigerator or freezer to allow it to solidify for future use.
THC Butter that is properly sealed can last anywhere from 3-6 months when refrigerated,
depending on the butter brand.
