Walkthrough 5: Jacob learns new Trix

Last time we left off Lucky went to sleep and the story has transferred over to Jacob at the Avatar Academy. Jacob is told by his friend Mia that she has been assigned to be his mentor. They meet up in the Avatar Academy Library. Mia tells Jacob in order to progress in his training he must complete the sacred Summoner ritual of eating a magic mushroom.

Jacob eats the mushroom and begins to hallucinate. Mentally and visually for our player, He goes to the land of his avatar Torch. He approaches him and absorbs a new ability from Torch. Then Jacob returns to the Library with Mia. This new ability allows Jacob to summon Torch in battle to deliver a stronger fireball attack. (Side note this is a good attack and can hurt multiple enemies at once but eats up MP quickly so be careful).

Mia informs Jacob that the next part of his training will involve being paired up with another summoner student whose focus is on healing magic. The two of them must explore the library paying respect to the elemental gods' statues scattered around the corridors. These are the end game summons Ramuh, Titan, Ifrit, Garuda, Fenrir and Shiva. There are lots more summons, but these ones are closely tied into the story and the summoners of this world worship them.

Jacob's partner is a short girl with multicolored pigtails, named Trixi. Trixi's summon is a little white cat called Meow. He was inspired by a combination of my ex's cat who looked similar and Mew from Pokemon. In battles Jacob is the attacker and Trixi is the healer. Trixi's summon ability will heal the whole party a decent amount of health. But eats up MP.

After touching each statue in order. Jacob and Trixi must escape the library. They pass through an area with shelves and books that actually resembles a library. This area will be important later.

Jacob encounters a giant Scorpion. This is essentially a mini boss for this part of the game. As long as you didn't waste all your mp on beetles and other enemies while walking around you should be able to defeat this boss easy.

Once the boss is dead you find Mia at the entrance to the Library. She congratulates you on a successful test and the story returns to Lucky again.
