Walkthrough 25: Aithon

After you unlock ponita riding you will be eligible to unlock your own ponita and stable. First off grab a rental ponita in Amethyst town. Once in Amethyst woods travel along the dirt path north to Cannabis Canyon. In Cannabis Canyon head north in between the various mountains to the Ponita Ranch.

You will find Aithon near the barn in a pen alone. Talk to the woman next to his pen. She will tell you how no one is able to ride or tame the horse. Head over to the blond woman working on the ranch. She will rent you another ponita. Once you are back in Cannabis Canyon, head west to the North West corner of the map.

Once you in are the Highlands You will head south then north up some stairs. Then west until you find the dirt path. Then South down the stairs. Keep heading south and around the bottom of the mountain to the east. Down some more stairs and then north.

You will find a small pond with an interesting leaf. Grab the horseleaf then head back to Cannabis Canyon and the ranch. At the ranch approach the pen with Aithon and suddenly he has a different response to you. Give him the horseleaf. Ponita Paulina will suggest you try riding the horse and gives you a saddle. Equip the saddle like you would a weapon.

Then approach Aithon. You will trigger a battle. Regular attacks and abilities won't do damage. You have to do the saddle attack with Lucky until the ponita is tamed. Once you tame Aithon, Ponita Paulina tells you about a race where you can win the horse.... To be continued.
